A cabinet can match its drawing and still fail at the site if the measurement basis, finished surfaces, services or installation responsibilities are unclear. Overseas projects need a named person for each check.
GEORGE Group can discuss on-site installation as a separately charged service. Destination availability, installer, local costs, prerequisites and contractual responsibility are confirmed project by project.
Agree the measurement basis before dimensions are locked
Decide whether the project uses verified finished dimensions, coordinated construction dimensions or a defined combination. Record the expected condition of floors, walls, ceilings and services. Any tolerance must be agreed for the specific cabinet and interface.
Where the site is incomplete, identify assumptions and the final check that releases affected cabinets. Record the responsible person, method, date, output and approval.
| Interface | Evidence required | Responsibility to name |
|---|---|---|
| Room geometry | Dimensions at relevant heights, diagonals where needed, level conditions and obstructions | Who measures, reviews and accepts the basis |
| Finished surfaces | Finished floor, wall build-up, ceiling, skirting, panels, tiles and worktops | Who confirms construction stage |
| Services and equipment | Water, waste, power, data, ventilation, lighting, appliances and fixtures | Who coordinates and moves nonconforming points |
| Delivery and storage | Access, unloading, package limits, dry storage and identification | Consignee, unloading party and custodian |
| Cabinet installation | Installer scope, drawings, fixings, sequence, adjustment and protection | GEORGE or local installer and supervisor |
| Adjacent trades | Worktops, plumbing, electrical, finishing, sealing and connections | Named contractor for each non-cabinet task |
| Acceptance | Room checklist, issue evidence and sign-off route | Who accepts and records open items |
Choose an installation route that matches the project
Local installation
Confirm the team can read issued drawings, identify packages, coordinate services and report issues before modifying parts.
GEORGE installation service
Request destination availability and a separate scope. Confirm access, labour, equipment, local support, costs and trade interfaces.
Split responsibility
If one party sets out and another installs, define the handoff evidence and acceptance point for each interface.
Record site exceptions before installation
Compare the site with the approved basis before unloading or installation. Record blocked access, moisture, incomplete finishes, moved services, incorrect openings or unsafe storage and decide whether work can proceed.
At handover, identify room, cabinet, issue, photographs, protection and follow-up. Do not alter a cabinet to solve an interface problem until design and warranty effects are understood.
Define the site handoff in your enquiry
Include the information that is known and label open items instead of guessing.
- Country, site, construction stage and room-readiness dates.
- Plans, measurements, photographs and measurement date and condition.
- Floor, wall, ceiling, worktop, appliance, fixture and service responsibilities.
- Access, unloading, storage and receiving party.
- Preferred installer and local tools or trades available.
- Inspection, acceptance and issue-reporting route.
Plan measurement and installation responsibilities. State who verifies the site, who installs and which interfaces remain open. Ask GEORGE to confirm service scope for the destination.
